What the service covers on the 2023 Subaru WRX
An oil change begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. The service also includes a new oil filter, a reset of the oil life monitor, and a check of the underhood fluid levels. These steps address more than the oil’s appearance. Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, which is why scheduled maintenance is based on mileage and time rather than how clean the oil looks.
Common signs that the 2023 Subaru WRX may be due for service include an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last oil change, or oil on the dipstick that looks dark or low. A ticking sound or louder engine note at startup can also prompt an inspection. The manufacturer’s interval for this model year is every 6,000 miles for both engine oil and the oil filter. Drivers can schedule service with Mike Shaw Subaru Greeley to have the visit completed and logged against the vehicle’s history.
