What the service covers on the 2022 Subaru Ascent
The oil-change service for the 2022 Subaru Ascent begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed as part of the visit. The oil life monitor is reset, and underhood fluid levels are checked so the maintenance record reflects the completed service. Booking also gets the oil and filter replaced according to the vehicle’s requirements and the visit logged against its history.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, which is why mileage and time matter even when the oil does not look dirty. The manufacturer’s published interval for the 2022 Subaru Ascent is every 6,000 miles for both engine oil and the oil filter. An oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup can indicate that service is due. Owners can schedule service with Mike Shaw Subaru Greeley.
