What the service covers on the 2016 Subaru Impreza
The oil-change service for the 2016 Subaru Impreza starts with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to support clean oil circulation, while the oil-life monitor is reset and underhood fluid levels are checked. The manufacturer’s published maintenance schedule for this model year calls for an engine oil change every 6,000 miles and an oil-filter replacement every 6,000 miles.
Engine oil gradually loses part of its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris. That is why service is scheduled by mileage and time rather than appearance alone. An oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at start-up can indicate that service is due. Owners can schedule service for the 2016 Subaru Impreza at Mike Shaw Subaru Greeley.
