Greeley Subaru welcomes our newest edition of Colorado's favorite vehicle: the Outback. It is everything we wanted in our favorite all-around vehicle.

First off, the new Outback is built on the Subaru Global Platform, currently the basis for the current Impreza, Crosstrek, Ascent, Forester, and the Legacy. The platform has been adopted for the midsize sedan without compromising quietness, stability, or agility. The new Outback will be the most advanced vehicle in its class in terms of construction and engineering.

Two engines will power the new Outback with more performance and efficiency than before. Standard models get an updated 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine. Choosing a model from the XT lineup, along with the all-new Wilderness model, will feature a 260-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer four-cylinder engine. Both engines will be connected to Subaru's continuously variable transmission and symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. Add X-MODE for additional traction options for off-road and weather-based conditions. The Wilderness model adds more capability with an advanced X-MODE system, adding a low range for tougher terrain situations. This new model also raises the ground clearance from 8.7 inches to 9.5 inches. 

Stepping inside the Outback is the most refined interior in Subaru's history. Outback Touring models will feature Nappa leather, a material found on the most expensive automobiles. Ten-way power driver seats are also available on higher trim models. There is generous cargo space out back, with 32.5 cubic feet behind the second-row of seats, expanding to 75.7 cubic feet with those seats lowered. 

 

Technology is a major focus on the Outback. It features the largest touchscreen Subaru has ever had. The new Outback will be home to a tablet-style, high-definition 11.6-inch Starlink Multimedia Plus infotainment system. This screen is completely customizable for infotainment, climate control, and vehicle settings. It is also where you can access Subaru's in-car Wi-Fi hotspot connection, along with smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also set parental controls through this screen, where certain drivers can be limited to location and speed.

The Outback adds the new DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. This system detects when you are being distracted while behind the wheel, then alerts you and corrects your path to avoid a potential collision. The Outback offers the EyeSight driver assistance system standard across the lineup.

There are seven Outback models to choose from - Outback, Premium, Limited, XT Onyx Edition, XT Limited, XT Touring, and the all-new Wilderness model. Pricing starts from $26,945.
