Just arriving at Greeley Subaru, the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek will take some serious leaps in performance and safety.

For starters, the Limited model – along with a brand-new Sport model – will receive the larger 182-horsepower 2.5-liter BOXER engine standard. This is a response to owners who wanted a more powerful Crosstrek for covering more of Colorado’s toughest terrain.  The 152-horsepower 2.0-liter BOXER engine remains standard on Crosstrek and Premium models.

The brand new Sport trim elevates the Crosstrek into a new level of cool. Along with the larger engine, the Sport comes equipped with dual-function X-MODE, unique exterior and interior accents, and durable StarTex upholstery. There is also an option package that includes a power moonroof; Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert; and 8.0-inch STARLINK Multimedia Plus System. All of this is what could be the most perfect compact vehicle for Colorado.

In terms of safety, the standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology for CVT-equipped models now features Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering. Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control helps to maintain pace on the highway through the EyeSight sensors, while working with the Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking systems to prevent collisions. Lane Centering maintains the Crosstrek within the marked lines keeping it from drifting into other lanes of traffic.

It is worth noting that the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek, when equipped with EyeSight, received the highest possible rating of “Superior” for front crash prevention by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

New for all Crosstreks this year are redesigned wheels and a redesigned front fascia that includes a new bumper and grille.

With a starting price of just $22,245, an increase of only $100 from the 2020 model year, all Crosstrek trim levels are equipped with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Active Torque Vectoring as standard, an advantage over other compact SUVs that make all-wheel drive an extra-cost option.
